like a white room, black & white paintings can be a visual rest stop
In recent years I have gone to white interiors both home and studio. Maybe it's because the palette I paint with is often-times so intense and I like the purity of whites to balance that and give me some visual rest stops. I've had client comments and requests to paint in black and white and decided to take them up on it. It's fun to switch it up sometimes. This is the first one and I'll likely do more. I'm enjoying the idea that relationships are rarely black and white and the multitude of grays that can be achieved in painting has much to say about that.
