i thought of you

I have a love of textiles and creating unique presentations in spaces (harkens back to my days as an interior designer). To that end, I sometimes explore different textiles as the substrate and unique ways to install the painting and ultimately the art. This piece has a full painting of a figure in a contemplative pose as she considered a past relationship. The breaking free from a conventional frame and free flow of the textile suggests new directions and independence.
