"In the still of white..." is a body of work that I created with "yellow" - seeking the spirituality one can attain in a relationship, with "blue" - inviting intimate communication, and with "orange" - acknowledging and exploring sexuality.

I believe there is no better way to demonstrate inner strength, relationship challenges, possibilities, and outcomes, than by stripping away preconceived notions of identity or culture to reveal the essence of being. Skin colour, body shape, sexuality, and the environment surrounding the figure(s) must remain accessible and inclusive. 

To achieve this, I work with body-positive imagery -- skin tones that neutralize bias and stereotyping, as well as texture and movement -- allowing the act of painting to dictate the level of abstraction.
